Photographing seabirds in their natural habitats

Seabirds behave very differently between the cliffs and the open water, which makes them fascinating to photograph. Some rest quietly on the rocks while others fly fast along the coast, giving me chances to practise timing and focus. I like watching how each species interacts with the sea and the landscape around them. This collection brings together the seabirds I’ve photographed on my trips and shows how I try to capture both their movement and the environments they live in.
